Talk title:Geography of Asymmetry: circle of poisoning and molecular colonialism
As an expert on the use of pesticides in Brazil for over 10 years Dr. Larissa Mies Bombardi will treat a very important aspect in the context of sustainability and ecology. She has a master’s and a doctorate in Geography, both from University of São Paulo (USP). She works as a professor of human geography at the Department of Geography. In 2017, she published an atlas “Geography of the Use of Pesticides in Brazil and its Connections with the European Union”. After the launch of the book in Europe she had to move to the European Union to conduct her research with a scholarship at the Université Libre Bruxelles.
